My Valentine's Day Look 2023

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Blog Post!

I know that my uploads here haven’t been very regular and I do apologize for that. I have been trying to step up with everything on my plate right now: with my Blog, Instagram, YouTube and also TikTok. All of this while working a full time job and sometimes it’s not easy to produce and publish all this content regularly.

I do still try to publish a Blog Post every week, a YouTube video every week and post on Instagram, Facebook, stories, reels and shorts but as you can imagine I do it on my days off work and sometimes I also need a little bit of rest.

I do hope you understand and bare with me while I navigate all of this!

Jumping into the Blog Post of today I really wanted to show my Valentine’s Day look from this year because I really think it was beautiful! I went for a fancy lunch date with my husband Joao and we’ve chosen the only Michelin Star restaurant in Bath: “The Olive Tree”.

We had an amazing experience and I totally recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys fine dinning!

I wanted to wear something chic, sophisticated and modern, while maintaining a touch of romance, so I went for this gorgeous dress by Self Portrait (buy it here).

I paired it with a gorgeous satin blazer by Khanums (similar here) and my beautiful, new, Alexander Macqueen spike slingbacks (very similar here).

I also wore a rhinestone belt by Accessorize (similar here), my Prada re-edition crystal bag (here) and my Yves Saint Laurent triangular sunglasses (here).

I’ve finished off the look with an old, pink, heart necklace from Swarovski (similar here), a rhinestone necklace from John Lewis (similar here) and a red crystal heart pendant from Betsey Johnson (similar here).

I also wore a black Fendi ribbon in my hair (that I got from a Fendi packaging of earrings), my silver red Agatha ring (similar here), rhinestone earrings (similar here) and a pair of black Calzedonia tights (here).

This was a look that had “evening” written all over it but, to be perfectly honest with you, I don’t really see any difference in eveningwear or daywear if you’re attending a fabulous event or occasion.

I loved wearing this look for a lunch date and didn’t feel overdressed in the slightest. What’s appropriate and what’s not appropriate it has become nowadays such an old concept! It’s about time that those hard lines were challenged, don’t you think?

Wearing this look I felt glamorous, chic and beautiful and, in the end of the day, that’s all that matters!

Do let me know what you think in the comments area below and I do wish you a fabulous rest of the week!
